Springtime in Chicago, part 3

These are the last of the pics I took on our walk.

I love these:

And these:

There were some unusual sightings... like this funny little tree with curly branches (anybody know what it's called?):

Or this character behind bars:

He appeared again later, quite friendly, even... and met up with another character.

But the weirdest things we saw along the way were these birds in the trees along the beach:

They each were near one of those bands, but we couldn't tell if the bands and birds had any connection to each other or not. There were also bands in trees that had no birds. What was imprinted on the bands didn't give us any clues.

Back to something more realistic... I managed to get a zoomed-in shot of this cardinal way up in the top of a tree. He was singing over and over and over and......

That ends my 'walk' photos. Next up: Lincoln Park Zoo!

We love Lincoln Park Zoo. Much more than big Brookfield!

I don't know, Annie Dee. I'm not familiar with them at all. It'd be easier to tell if there were leaves on it.

I've never been to Brookfield, Becky, but I do like Lincoln Park!
