"Golden hour" photos, Part 4

Okay, back to the fall prettiness.....

These, of course, are thistles. They get fuzzy, too, when going to seed. The brightness of the last blooms really stood out against the dull messiness of the dried out plants.

Look what a lovely photo it makes when you pick one to shoot individually:

Those look like some wickedly sharp thorns, too. I didn't test them to find out.

Just pretty

This is a rose from my mini rose bush:

In contrast, a weed... a thistle, in fact:

But both can be pretty, each in its own right!

Which do you like best?

Don't tell Grandpa...

... or Mark... that I've posted photos of thistles! But I happen to think they made for pretty and interesting pics!
