Just so you know...

Even though I've been lousy at blogging, I've not been sitting idly twiddling my thumbs. Jess received her yardage of her new In Theory barkcloth on Monday, which means it'll be available in stores very soon, which means I need to get some sample projects made up!

Isn't it gorgeous? I just love it!

So I AM busy. Here's proof... a project in the works.

It's making progress.

Jess even sewed up a little project of her own with it! This is the Meridian print, which just happens to be my favorite, although surprisingly, I like it in the other colorway even better.

So there ya have what's been going on around here. I'll surely show you things when I get them finished. At least the weather's good for sewing, if not much else. We're supposed to get near 20°F below zero this weekend. Aargh.

Delicious! The fabric. Not the temps. Can't wait to see the project. Keep warm and safe.

The fabrics and that new project look so good. There are so many great combinations possible with those fabrics. Making a choice is probably the hardest part of the whole sewing project. ;)

It won't be as cold here this weekend, but I feel like I might get some sewing time this weekend too. :) We have to make the most of every season right? Gardening in summer, crafting in winter!

Oo! Is that pleather I see becoming a strap?

And bah, those temps. Today I went outside to take photos of a bag. I wore SHORTS and a short sleeve tee. Take that, Minnesota winter.

Thanks, everyone!

It's gettin' there, Annie Dee! ;)

Yea, Gen... I pulled out my stash of lining possibilites and wow, so many great combos! Lucky for me, Jess is the boss so I don't have to make so many decisions.;)

That is indeed pleather, LiEr! And it is now two straps. :) Why in the world did you have shorts and a tee on in this weather, not to mention wear them outside?! So defiant you are! ;D

Hope you get to try some barkcloth sometime, Norma. It's yummy to sew with, too! :) And hardly needs an iron at all!

That fabric is beautiful! Are they all barkcloth? Can't wait to see what you're making.
