Those first home-grown tomatoes of the season are always such a treat. These are the first ones I've picked, and we ate the one on the left yesterday, sliced atop grilled burgers.
They're 'Better Boys', by the way.

Yes, they are so good from the garden.
We ate our first tomatoes tonight too. I had mine with garden onions, cubed burpless cucumbers and french dressing. Makes me hungry all over.
I had planted extra plants this year --planning to give a bunch to Kim to can but my plants are not doing as well as usual. Large fruits but few in number. Maybe have to buy a bushel at farmers mkt to give her. And other years I am the one giving away bushels and bushels.
Happy gardening. Grace
