Happy Labor Day

Is Monday your laundry day? Let's hope it's NOT today, since it's a holiday.

Is there a mouse in your washer? It certainly looks like there is something interesting in there.

WATCH that CAT! I know a friend who went to take the clothes from the dryer and found a really big mess. The worst part was not the clean up but telling the kids what happed to the family's beloved pet. Your blog friends would miss Wispy and Willow.

Bonnie, she's only checking up on me to make sure I got all the clothes out. ;-)

Oh, Grace... what a thought! I am careful, though. The only reason that door is hanging open is because if I keep it closed, it gets very musty smelling in there - yuck. But she only kinda leaned into it, looked around, and then backed out. Guess it didn't appeal to her that much.

I can see where a dryer would be more tempting, though... especially right after it ran and was still warm. My sister started "drying" a cat once, but heard the unusual thumping, missed the cat, and fortunately got him out in time. He was only a little dizzy. ;-) And my mom one time locked a cat in the freezer when putting away groceries. She about turned the house upside down looking for it until the possibility dawned on her. That cat lived with no ill effects also.

That's exactly what I did all day yesterday - laundry. But it wasn't too bad because in between loading and unloading, I was pretty darned lazy, making for a delicious holiday.

Well, UM, Ya, about that cat in the freezer thing. We did that too---but---it was not discovered until long after. The freezer is in the garage and the cats are all OUTSIDE dwellers so no one missed the cat. It was a really hot summer and she must have been looking for a cool respite. We have three deep freezers and that one was seldom opened. Well when we did open it and moved a large box of meat--there was our fluffy. Changed the movie title to "Cat in a Cold tin Freezer" Funny how I had forgotten all about that. Still yuks me out to think of it. No it was not an experiment in cryogenics nor did I try my CPR skills on the deceased.

Yep, Kim... only ONE day/week for laundry from now on. Gee, what're you gonna do with all your free time?!

Yay, Lori... lazy on holidays is GOOD!! :-) And welcome to my blog!

Oh, Grace... how HORRIBLE!! Well, at least it didn't smell, huh?
