Lincoln Park Zoo, part 2

Here are some more photos I took at the zoo. Enjoy!

The beaver was busy munching:

The rhino was working to keep his weight up:

There were plenty of these seagulls around... and they were quite noisy.

This wood duck didn't pose very well for me, but maybe he was concerned about the crow. I wanted to capture his pretty colors, anyway.

This poor bear... makes you sleepy just to look at him, doesn't it? We wonder if he was that bored, or if he was ill, or if it was just nap time. He doesn't look very comfortable, though, does he? *yawn*

I had a hard time getting shots of the polar bear, as he kept swimming constantly.

Here he is, doing his routine:

My favorite shot of all at the zoo, though, was this one:

And that concludes our zoo visit... and all my Chicago pics. Hope you enjoyed the sights!

I 'plan' to finish my latest sewing project today so I can show you that tomorrow!

Great last picture! Just curious who really wears the "orange" in this family? Mark

Thank YOU, Dale!

And you, too, Mark! They 'both' wear orange! :)

Before I saw that Mark had commented, my first question was "why is she wearing PINK???"

Grandma G said...

Thank you for liking my pillows and for leaving a comment. I'm so new to blogging so any compliments help. What beautiful photos! What a great talent. Have you been on Amylouwhos blog long?

Oh, and I hope to see your sewing soon, too!

Thanks, Annie Dee! I will keep posting... and thanks for your comments that encourage me to keep doing so!

Thank you, too, Cassie! I've been linking to Amylouwho's since November. And now I'd better get back to sewing so I can link yet this week! ;)

Clearly, Jess!

I was just thinking the same thing, you guys. Pink? Eh? Start sewing, Grandma G!

As a matter of fact, Jess did send me a coat pattern (in her size) awhile back. I never got any instructions from her to sew anything, though. I think it was just a "maybe sometime". But "maybe" she needs a coat in... say... Boardwalk???
