Whose bottle is that, anyway?!
It's so fun lovin' on the new baby!
And adjusting her carrier. :-)
..... to Grandma G's blog! Grab a cup of coffee or whatever and sit down and relax for a while as you browse through my photos. I hope you enjoy what you see, and feel free to leave comments on any of my posts... I love hearing from you!

Remember the tiny impatiens plant I showed you here? Well, look at it now!
Look closer. See what's there?
That's a bud... it's going to bloom already! Actually, there are 2 buds there, but the second is so tiny it's hardly noticeable. It'll be awhile before they open up, but I'll show you when they do. I wonder what color they'll be!
Gotta love the green of the leaves! Especially when we're expecting snow again. *sigh*

The results of the poll "Do you have a MySpace account?" are as follows:
Not many readers with MySpace accounts amongst us. Looks like all the voters have at least heard of it. :-)
Thanks for voting!

The new baby even came with her own multi-purpose carrier!

Rather odd-looking, isn't she? SHE? Most likely, being a calico. Very elusive. And definitely not appreciated by a certain outdoor cat who was not born here but now claims this place as HERS.
I hope she'll hang around and produce some pretty babies. We need some new blood around here.

Today was her first day. Courtney was quite happy to see her!
This new baby could even "talk" and giggle if you pushed her bellybutton (or whopped her on the back while she laid on her tummy)!
That little newbie was very welcomed at Courtney's daycare today! Check back in the next few days for more daycare adventures!

The results of the poll "How many blogs do you read regularly?" are as follows:
Well, I'm flattered that 3 of you only read my blog! Thank you! And thanks to the rest of you for letting me be a part of your blog list!
I must confess... I follow more than 15 blogs. :-) Often one blog leads to another... and there are just soooo many interesting ones out there. But it's not like I go to each of those 15+ blogs every day. I use a "blog reader", so I only have to log into it, and it checks them all for me at once... then I just read the ones that have been updated since my last login. I do enjoy it.
Thanks to all who voted!

As I was driving to town the other day, I couldn't help thinking that right now is the absolute dreariest time of year! EVERYTHING is brown. The snow is gone... nothing's turning green yet. It's just plain 'blah'.
I'm really glad I have something pretty to work on in the house. Here are a couple of the latest buckets I've made from Jess's 'Peapod' fabric. (I don't know why the lining looks so drab in the photos... it's actually a brighter, "lime-ier" green, more like the green in the print.)
I also finished another bag out of the same fabric. Much more refreshing colors than looking out the windows.
The above and more are all headed to Jess's later today for the Etsy shop.
Speaking of spring colors, Jess has some new fabrics that should be available very soon. (There's even a "Candy" colorway. Ha!) Check 'em out! If you see any print or color combinations you might like a bag or bucket out of, let me know. I'll be getting a shipment once they're printed. I can't wait to get started making things from them!
BTW, happy first day of spring! Let's hope it's here to stay and that things turn green fast!
So much for "thumpity bump". We're now into hanging onto the handrail and stepping down like a big girl. :-) Mommy even reports that sometimes Courtney gets really brave and steps without hanging on... just about giving Mommy a heart attack.
Okay, so she got into a little hurry there at the end. ;-)

They came in full force yesterday! At 66°, who can blame them?! What an awesome day it was!
(Yeah, there are still some snowdrifts in the evergreen trees.)
And I saw blackbirds and heard a killdeer and a meadowlark.
Here, turn up your volume and listen to a robin for yourself:
P.S. Happy St. Patrick's Day to all you Irish out there. Not much Irish in me. I'll just be happy when the grass and trees turn green again. :-)
Head on over to Jess's Etsy shop and grab a package. The price is great, and today only, she's throwing in a set of her postcards for free! How fun is that!

The dirty snowdrifts are shrinking fast.
Water is standing around... in the ditches...
... and in the fields...
... and in the yards.
But the best sign of all... the tulips are coming up!
It looks like they survived the below zero temperatures from a few nights ago, but I'm sure they like yesterday's 50's a lot better!
Spring IS on the way!!
Turn up your volume, sit back and enjoy! :-)
(We had to add a bib to protect the shirt.)
I think Auntie Jess will be pleased with how Courtney's progressing.

Sorry to keep you waiting for more posts! I've been under the weather for the past week, so things (me, in particular) have been going pretty slow around here. But I finally got a night's sleep without coughing last night, so things are looking up!
Here's a cute little girl with a funny-looking nose going down our basement stairs yesterday.
Don't let the title worry you... she didn't fall. It's her favorite way of going down the stairs. See her demo below.
Yes, that's a sticker on her nose. She only earned ONE yesterday. ;-) And Auntie Kris, I took your advice and cut up the sticker pages. I offered her a choice of four, and it worked like a charm!! So a big THANK YOU to you!!! It saved a lot of decision time! :-)

We haven't visited Courtney's daycare service in a while. Let's peek in and see what she's teaching the kids today.
Mary's little lamb must've followed her to daycare that day. Bet he won't do that again! See why in this 2nd video clip.
There seemed to be a shortage of blankets that day, so they had to take turns.

Only 4 of them on Tuesday, though. ;-) And she knows where Grandma keeps her stash.
And if Grandma doesn't hurry emptying the potty, etc., Little Miss Courtney helps herself.
She's quite a slow decision-maker once she gets at the stickers, though. Starts peeling off one... nope, not that one... peels another one off... nope, not that one... puts it back... thinks some more... peels off another... nope, not that one. At this point Grandma is tired of being patient and makes Courtney take the last one she peeled off. Then we have another one of "those moments".
Any suggestions for weaning a 2-yr.-old off sticker awards??? ;-)

"I guess Grandma means business when I won't leave the straw in my drink box... and throw my food on the floor... and spit at her."
Yep, we do have our moments. And we had quite a few of them yesterday. ;-)
Still dang cute, even when she's pouting, isn't she?

"Bubbles!"
How to wash your face fast!
I suspect Courtney will have no trouble when it comes to swimming lessons! She has never minded getting water in her face.
