Happy first day of SPRING!!

It got here! FINALLY!! Just look at the calendar. And... there are signs. Definite signs that spring is here. I showed you the robins last Thursday. Better yet, the snow is MELTING!! Just look:

What's that you say? There's an awful lot of snow there? Yep, you've got that right! But there was MORE before (gotta look on the bright side here, folks!) (use your imagination... I'm not posting those UGLY pics). It's been going steadily down with the nice temps we've had this past week. Just look at how far it's come away from the house.

Oops. A little problem here:

And that poor "miniature" lilac bush really caught it again this year (not to mention our evergreen trees... uffda!).

But look what I also saw:

Tulips... hurray! A sure sign of spring if there ever was one!

And as of this moment, this is all that's left of the 3-4' snowbank that was on our deck:

So it's official. IT'S SPRING!! Enjoy! (And just ignore the 's' word that's in the forecast for Wednesday.)

Okay, 50 degrees was nice but now I want 60 and some drying.

Oh, the light at the end of the tunnel. I hope it's not a train coming our way.

It's raining there? Not here. And it's 52!! The sun is trying to come out, too. Maybe we'll get your 60 here!

I have a "condache"... wonder what a cond is.....

I met my husband on a blind date in a snowstorm. We left Iowa for Texas when I was 11, so I've always had a kid's love of the magic of snow. Now, it reminds me of when I met my husband. But, Spring will be glorious this year.
