I love spring!

Our weather lately has almost been making up for our miserable fall and winter. Almost.

Here are some spring sightings from this morning. Gotta love those persistent little violas.

The rhubarb is making progress.

And yup, even the asparagus is peeking out. Surprisingly early!

There's another asparagus shoot in the pic below... but I bet that's not what catches your eye. :-)

Yeah, I need to get the Roundup out there, too. TODAY, before the asparagus gets going any farther.

Isn't it amazing how some flowers are so quick to bloom after the winter? We love to see all the signs of spring. I managed to get my entire garden tilled this weekend. Nothing planted yet though.

Yep, amazing all right. I even have a dianthus flower here and there already because the greens didn't freeze off.

Garden's ready to go, huh? Good for you. Kinda wet here this a.m.... got .6" of rain so far.

Dry here.

April showers bring May flowers.

Maybe it's headed our way.

I got a kick out of your comment about "catching your eye".

Yum! Asparagus!

You, too? It's amazing how many people tell me that, even though asparagus is kind of an odd-tasting vegetable. I started my (too big) patch over 30 years ago, and when I was working in town, I had quite list of people ever-so-willing to accept my excess. Now most of it goes to Suzi, who freezes it, because Courtney loves it, too.

Oh man, I didn't even know you could have an asparagus patch untill I spent the summer in McCall Idaho. Even then I had to go back home to school before I could enjoy it! (Late winter there.)
