What I did on my long holiday weekend

I bet (most of) you didn't even know I was gone, did you? That's the beauty of being able to set up blog posts ahead of time and have them published whenever I want. :-)

Anyway, Grandpa and I spent a long weekend in Chicago with Jess and Alex. We had a great time, stupendous weather, yummy food, etc., etc. I'll tell you a little more later.

One of the things we did, though, was make some homemade (is that redundant?) deodorant. Pretty exciting, huh?! For more details on that, see Jess's blog. I'll just say here that this is the best deodorant I've ever used. Check it out!

Here's what it looks like:

And now I'm off to play catch-up with laundry, mail, email, etc.........

Huh...is it goopy? Does it go on and dry fast? Is it black dress approved?

I guess I should have followed directions and read Jess's blog first.

Reminds me of my first deo- Tussy. Do they still make that stuff?

What a fun project! I love coconut oil...it smells so good and absorbs so well :)

Sorry to be so slow at getting back to you on this, Becky... the email kinda got lost in the shuffle during our trip. ;)

Yes, a quick google search tells me that Tussy is still made, although it appears to be somewhat hard to find in stores. You can buy it from Amazon (can't you buy EVERYTHING from Amazon?!). However, it contains aluminum.
