"Let's go for a ride!"

"What kind of a sleigh is this, anyway?"

"How do we get this thing goin'?"

"Gotta be a starter here somewhere..."

"I think this post is in the way."

"Get up, Hairry! You're not much help layin' there!"

"Patches, you stay back there on the end to balance things."

Yeah, I'm fine (although you may wonder after seeing the above)... just behind on blogging. Because I really don't have much to blog about right now. And then yesterday morning when I was going to sit down and write this post (or whatever I could think of at the time), the power supply in my computer decided it was time to quit on me. So I got delayed again.

If you have any other captions for those photos, feel free to leave them in the comments. The trailer is what Grandpa uses to haul the skid loader back and forth from here to the dairy once in a while. It seemed to make a good sunning spot the morning I took the pics.

And if you have any ideas of what I should blog about, feel free to mention that in the comments, too. What would you like to see more of? (Less of?) What do you like or dislike? I'll tell you what I like... comments! Comments are what keep a blogger going and enthused... (and the lack thereof sometimes makes me ask what I'm doing this for).

Okay, I'm done for today. Later, folks.......

I enjoy everything you write about. And all the photos. Of course, I'm partial to hearing about Miss Courtney. She'll be in Kindergarten next year, so you'll have fewer chances to take pictures. I also love your sewing exploits and have a soft spot for kittens. Winter didn't give many fun photo ops for snow formations, but spring is just around the corner. I bet the crosuses will be popping up in no time.

Here's a brilliant idea. Start a really big quilting project and tell us about it each step of the way. You know, like when you sew the final outer border on backwards and spend the next hour with Mr. Seamripper. Yep! did that yesterday! Whatever you do, I'm sure you'll make it fun to read about.
Thanks for all the entertainment. I'll try to be better about commenting more often.

Thanks, Kris!!

I have a better idea than yours, though. Since I know very little about quilting, how 'bout if I let you guest post about it 'for me'? You could even show the best techniques for ripping seams! Although I AM pretty good at that myself... lots of experience. ;)

(How maddening about that border, huh?! That's a test in patience, for sure! I hope you didn't kick yourself too hard. We all do those kinds of things. That's why they make seam rippers!)

Hey, I love your posts. Top on my list of course is that adorable little granddaughter. Perhaps the flowers come in 2nd. But I love kitties, sunsets and sunrises,& moonshine. (And I do not mean our home made wines that we are having so much fun experimenting with.) Oh yes, and the huge variety of wildlife that flocks, creeps, crawls & sneaks to your place, makes for fun and informing blogs. I sure do not deny you a rest from the grind now and them but please don't give it up. Even if I do not find the time to comment, be sure I do check in a couple times a week-- to see what's new in your world. Let's find time for a cup of tea together soon.

Gosh, it took me longer to type those two crazy words than to write my comment. Do you have any control over what the secret word is? I really liked it when I was not required to decipher the ------ words to communicate with you. And here we go again What the heck is acklyju nterment?????????????

Thank you, Grace, for the encouragement!

Yeah, those new verification words drive me nuts! And no, I have no control over what they are. I have a heckuva time reading them sometimes. Maybe I'll try shutting them off again and see what happens.

Blogger's been making a number of changes lately. Can't say I'm too happy with any of them.

This may be a suggestion of something you could post when you are looking for material. Doug was researching info on building bee hives and the site lead to another site www.shepardsoftware.com where there was a cool page on insect info, everything from Ants to Walkingsticks. I know you have found some interesting web sites full of fun info and it would be fun for you to share the websites with your blog friends. I am not creative enough to find them on the web but would love to visit some of the places you find fun or unusual info. Just an idea for when you are out of cool pics.
Ick, the ice is getting thicker and thicker. Better check the generator for fuel etc.
