Another harbinger, Dale!

Happy first day of spring! It's finally here. According to the calendar, anyway. You'd sure never know it by our temperature this morning!

I took these photos last Friday. Surely tulips peeking out are a sign of spring, right? The way they must be shivering out there right now, though, probably makes them wish they'd waited a while.

Right next to them was still some snow. I thought it was interesting how these maple leaves had melted right down into that snow, leaving a very clear imprint. It's a little hard to see the depth in these pics, though. I should've taken that bigger leaf out and then snapped another pic. Hindsight is so great, y'know.

That was the second pic of the leaves. The first one looked like this:

That's what happens when the camera's white balance setting isn't right. It does make for kind of a cool effect, though, don't you think?

Is that snow lime flavored?

Yeah, I love those signs of hope.
I heard a cardinal this morning.

Nope - it's mint! :)

It looks a lot more 'springy' than we have here. We have over a foot of snow covering the entire yard. Not a bare spot in sight.
Really cannot wait for some warmer weather.

That sounds horrible, Kris! The forecast isn't sounding too hopeful for getting rid of it very soon, either. :(

Very artistic!
I just saw an art show where a photograph was just the background, all sorts of drawing and color chooses made the photo more interesting. So maybe my ho-him photos still have a future?
