I love getting packages!

Ooohh... I've gotten some fun packages in the last week or so! First I got this (not including the scissors... that's for size comparison and to prop up the items):

Then another day I got this.....

... along with this:

Later on I got a big hunk of this:

But best of all, yesterday THIS arrived:

Oh, wait... it looks better out of the plastic bag. Here:

The colors aren't totally accurate. A rainy day with no good natural light had something to do with that, plus sometimes my camera just WON'T get colors right. It's really much prettier in person than these photos show.

Here's a closer look:

Did you notice that selvage? Look closer yet!

Yes! It's from Jessica Jones's latest fabric line... that isn't even out in the stores yet! (Woohoo! I sure like being her mom! I get privileges!!) Did you notice the texture of the fabric? It's on barkcloth. I knew nothing about barkcloth before, but I love this stuff!

Okay, let's put all those fun things together and see what we come up with.

Haha... you'll have to wait to find out what it's going to be. And I need to get busy working on it!

In case you wondered, the fabric's coming out soon! It will be introduced at the International Quilt Market in Houston, TX the end of this month. After that it will be available for purchase. (Update: Due to a damaged first shipment, availability has been delayed. Hopefully it will hit the stores sometime in January.) Jess will be going to QM, and taking this with her! So I have to get it done and shipped to her before she goes. No biggie. Ha. But if I disappear, you'll know why. ;)

Quilt Market! I'm so jealous! She can meet all my favorite quilt designers. Maybe she'll want to start quilting!!!!

Aw, Kris... it didn't happen when she was there with her first line of fabrics, so I wouldn't get my hopes up too high of her becoming a quilter. ;)
