The leaves look lovely!
They (the weather people) promised two days this weekend of temps in the 60's every day this week - right up till today that is. They have revised the forecast to indicate today and tomorrow will be in the 90's and Sunday we may get as cool as the mid 80's. Pbbbbt So not nice to taunt us with thoughts of coolness.
And go look at The Daily Sew's Facebook post for this morning. You might recognize the website they are pointing folks to.
Thanks! It's a good thing I took that pic when I did. It was first thing in the morning. By the end of the day, the leaves were all dry and crispy and no longer pretty.
Ugh on your heat. I'd never survive living there.
I DO recognize that site! :) Thanks for pointing it out!
BTW, I'm just glad we don't have the Twin Cities' forecast. They could get up to a half inch of 'snow' tonight! ACK!!!
LOL
ACK is right
I just checked your weather. Be glad you took those pictures when you did because those leaves are down in Iowa by now. I am Refereeing a game tonight and it could be in the low 70's by the end of the game. An email went out wanting to know if we should wear long sleeve shirts since it could be chilly by the end of the game. Actually I would love to see them do a game in Minnesota tonight. It would be worth the price of admission! That is why we say Minnesota tough.
As always great pictures
Yep, it's WINDY, Mark! Makes for a nice wind chill, too. 70's?! So what was the verdict? Long sleeves or no? :)
It was short sleeves, usually there is a good breeze and when the sun goes down there is a cool breeze that comes off the coastal mountains. Friday no wind so it was a perfect evening for football JV starts at 5:00 it was 95 by the time the varsity game was over it was in the low 70's. Most important no breeze.
Pretty leaves. I can hardly wait until our leaves change colors--next month some time. :(
