Here are my two most recent bags.
"Anonymous" suggested in a comment on this post that I start a cottage industry making bags. Well, little did he/she know! As a matter of fact, Jess decided to reopen her Etsy shop and together we're going to sell things made from her designs. We've been busy getting things ready the last few weeks. I've been having FUN making the bags, and she's doing all the rest of the WORK! :-) You're welcome to come browse around in our little shop here!
(BTW, the above bags have not been shipped to Jess yet, thus are not listed in the shop. I still need to finish a couple more to send off with them.)
Although it's warmed up again the last couple days, earlier freezing temps brought an end to many things. I took in the birdbath a few days ago. I hadn't seen any birds at it for quite awhile. And eventually ice would be a little hard to drink.
And here are the last tomatoes of the season. (Yep, the pickers missed a few, Kris.) Rather pretty, aren't they? I pulled the frozen vines out yesterday. So the garden is done for the year.
Okay, one of them isn't totally pretty. But I bet the deer is!
And remember the milkweed? Here's what it looks like now.
I mowed the lawn one last time yesterday. Nice to have that job done for the year, too.
A goofball in another awfully cute outfit! And yes, in case there's any doubt... those are socks on her hands. :-)

She lives, eats, sleeps, and would even bathe in it if Mommy would let her these days! :-)

Scroll down to see one more hat pic in the righthand column. That one's so cute it's just gotta stay on Grandma's front page! :-)

Yep, it's that time of year again. I've seen the juncos around for a few days now. They do like the colder weather.
This poor little female had a run-in with our living room window on Saturday. She sat there for maybe an hour, resting and recovering from her crash. She did survive and eventually flew off.
And of course Willow was quietly observing... wishing, I'm sure, that she could do more than watch!
The results of the poll "Have you ever been to the ocean?" are as follows:
The total was 9 voters, so quite a few have been to at least 2 oceans. We are well-traveled people nowadays. I've been to (and even in) the Atlantic, and close to the Pacific (Seattle). I think I maybe saw it from the Space Needle (too many years ago to remember), so maybe that counts?
Thanks for voting!

Sources tell me that Courtney's been moonlighting using her daycare expertise! I can see she's trying to be 'incognito' under the hat, but the Prep Club Princess outfit gives her away... as does her tender care of the... hmmm... "baby(?)".

The babies seem to be getting the best of care, even though it's hard work and makes a person so tired to have to do it all!
Now, aren't we all just happy and contented? :-)

Yep, the pretty leaves have fallen... especially after it having rained all... day... long... yesterday. This fall's glorious color is surely done with. Kinda sad... but it sure was nice while it lasted, wasn't it?
And here's what happens when you leave a few beets out in the garden.
I think my fawn is doing just fine! :-) It also seems to like pepper plants, and has even eaten the little green peppers that were left on.

Little Miss Hippie Chick had quite a windup when throwing the ball. I tried to catch it on video, but didn't get the best of it. This is a little sample, though, and it's pretty cute when suddenly the ball gets away from her at the end. :-)

Okay, obviously it's not a bird. But it's not my cat, either. It does look a lot like Willow, except for the short hair. It's a very tame housecat, and it's been declawed. Either somebody dumped it, or else it's lost.
Did any of you lose a nice female housecat? Do any of you WANT a nice female housecat? She's actually been around here for a couple of weeks, and she's now considering this her home. I've been feeding her... or rather, she's helping herself to the food I put out for the other cats. I guess she can stay if nobody wants her, but she's not coming in my house. Two housecats are more than enough as it is. ;-)
The results of the poll "Do you plan to vote in the coming election?" are as follows:
It's great that everyone plans to vote... and so important, too.
Thanks for voting on my poll!

Remember all the fabric I showed you here? This is the first item I made out of some of it.
It's for Jess. This Thursday she's going to a Quilt Market in Houston, TX, to promote her fabrics, and she thought it'd be neat to have a bag made from one of the fabrics to carry around with her. I had fun making it.
(Just another little peek. I'll keep ya posted.)
I took these pics very quickly yesterday from a few spots in town... from the car window (yes, I stopped the car to do it). It was a cloudy day, and the leaves were slightly past their peak, but they still made for some glorious color!

Have you gotten tired of the little pink sweatsuit yet? Nah, she looks so darn cute in it... how could we ever get tired of seeing it? ;-) But I believe we're done with it for now. And that was from way back last week Monday! It was a 13-hour day for Courtney and Grandma, so we had time for lotsa fun stuff, complete with pics and videos.
Then she was here the next day, too! And what a hippie chick she was! She even had a little flower power on her pantleg.

I think we'll have to keep visiting this daycare center of hers to keep tabs on it. I'm not so sure I'd want to be sending my kids there! ;-)
It appears she may even be grooming the baby with cat brushes!

What language was that?!
Well, I think if she could, what she would say today is
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DADDY!!!

The results of the poll "What do you enjoy most about autumn?" are as follows:
I love them all! My favorite time of year!!
I wonder what the 'other' was. Maybe football or hunting? What other things can you think of to enjoy about fall?
Thanks to all who voted!
