It was Strawberry Shortcake!

Look who showed up at our house last night! She already had a pot full of candy.

Smiles were kinda hard to come by at first. She'd had a long day and was sooo tired! Look at those eyes!

Nice pose... smile... blurry picture. Way to go, Grandma.

She'd informed me a couple weeks ago that she really didn't want candy for Halloween. She had enough already from parades, etc. :) So she didn't get any candy from us. I sent her on a little treasure hunt, and this is what she found:

She was very happy with the treasure she found! More details on that (and what's inside) later this week... maybe tomorrow.

Yay! She eschewed the candy.

I like to see the ability to make good choices.

I also like to use that word.

She chewed a little candy, too. ;) But not much.

My Simon had 0 pieces of candy and passed all of his on to others. Norah would eat all pieces in one setting if she could. I really do not know how much she ate. Not sure if the pouch was a candy snatcher for easy munching.

We hung around outside most of the evening after trick or treating. We put a door on saw horses and filled up the table with crock pots of chili and hotdogs. Hot cocoa, tea, and fixings were available for the neighborhood. Yummy and so much fun! Some neighbors know to expect it and added to the table this year!
