Keyka Lou Pocket Clutch #2

Since Courtney didn't want candy for Halloween... and since she'd loved the other clutch I'd made... I thought that'd be the perfect non-candy "treat". Here's a closer look at it:

I used the same Jessica Jones fabrics as in her backpack, only I reversed them for the lining/main fabrics.

You can see from the last photo on my previous post the actual size.

The pink part is a pocket on a pocket, but it's hard to tell that because the fabric matches up so well. But I swear, LiEr, it was totally accidental!!!

I decided to make it even more fun by putting a little more "treat" inside. I found this cute tiny notebook and pen set in our local dollar store. The notebooks even have colored paper.

Perfect fit!

She absolutely loved it! She thanked me many times yesterday for making it for her, and she drew lots of tiny things in the notebooks. Success for sure! (Except maybe I should've stocked up on notebooks. Even though she's pretty conservative, they may fill up kinda fast.)

How cool, and so much better than sweets. It is so cute how she loves little things. I guess when one's hands are small it is more fun to hold small toys too. Bet some of her Squinkies would even fit into the new pouch.

Small things receive an equally high approval rating over here. Pens and little notebooks are top of the desired list! I agree, they do fill up fast. Because, once there is a squiggle on a page and it has been turned, no more writing or drawing can be added.

So incredibly cute!

Super Cute! Here I am wondering if I should try to make a couple. Then I remember, the last thing I need around here are more little purses. I'm such a softie for cute little girly purses. Love the fabrics, too.

Thanks, everybody!

Is this an easy pattern to make? Any fussiness to it? Am considering it for gifts for nieces.

Yeah, I'd say it's pretty easy, Becky. The instructions are very clear, and only 4 pattern pieces. I think you could do it! And if you had questions, I'd be glad to help. You know where to find me. ;)

I now have 4 to make! I "splurged" on 8 prints for 4 little bags. Needed to buy the batting, interfacing, and snaps. Found a previous parent of delightful boys I used to work with in early childhood (now in 5th grade). She shared her 25% off coupon with me, what a lovely lady. May still need to get thread and definitely buttons later. Norah liked the brown, orange and pink butterfly fabric so we picked up that for her with a pink circular/floral accent fabric. I am sure I can make more with my (small) fabric stash.
