Gadget Guard #2

Yep, I made another Gadget Guard. I can't say I'm addicted yet, but only because I don't know of anybody else who needs one... yet. I could easily become so, though, because these are just as fun to make as the wallets, and maybe slightly easier.

This one is for Jess, so of course it had to have orange zippers. I guess I have to admit that the orange/pink combination is growing on me... although I'd have still chosen blue for myself. ;)

It of course sports her Arrow fabric. (Again, her colors are more accurate than mine.)

Her Gadget Guard is just a tiny bit smaller than mine, because I have a thin case on my iPad and she doesn't. That's the beauty of this pattern... you use its formula to make your gadget sleeve a perfect fit!

For more details about the pattern, see my other post. One thing I failed to mention there is that the zippers can be installed on either the long side or the short side of the sleeve. Also, you can make a plain, unpleated pocket... or leave it off entirely.

And don't forget, all of Erin's patterns are 25% off through May 12th!

Seriously superior print alignment at the pleat, Grandma G! I bow to you. Orchid and orange are actually quite fabulous together in your bag, I agree. Although Jess would say orange is fabulous with everything, especially orange with even more orange.

I love your blog. Just discovered it! I do have a question though. When you make the Gadget Guard or bags with Jess's fabric do you still apply fusible interfacing to it?? I know it has to be heavier than using quilting cotton. I was very disappointed when she quit her "How About Orange" blog. Thanks for your help. I love her Arrow fabric.

Hi, Lois... welcome to my blog, and thank you! No, I don't use the fusible interfacing with it. This fabric is at least as heavy as quilt weight+interfacing, so no fusible interfacing is necessary.
