In the teacup

I tossed out my gerbera daisies last fall, as they weren't looking too great anymore. Last Friday at the greenhouse, I discovered something I'd never seen before, so I decided to give them a try in the teacup pot.

They called dahliettas... just a small version of dahlias. They're only supposed to get to around 8" high. I've always loved dahlias, but if I remember right, because of their height they're kind of sensitive to the wind, which we have an abundance of around here, so I've never tried any. These may be just the perfect kind!

Aren't they pretty? I hope they do well in there!

Thank you, ladies!

Interesting about that little bouquet... it shows up correctly on my iPad, both in email and Safari. 👍 In Internet Explorer and Windows Live mail, it shows but is black & white. In Safari and Chrome, it shows as just a little box. 👎

Thanks Jessica. It's from my new Nexus tablet emoticon "library." It looks like a box on my laptop too, Grandma G.

Cute flowers. I have never put my tea cup outside. Does your weather well? Do you have it in full sun? I may get brave and try mine outside this summer.

Yes, it does just fine, Grace. This will be its third summer outdoors in full sun. I can't tell any fading or damage at all.
