Our "project"

As I was mowing last night, I was lamenting the fact that I'd forgotten to take pics of the project Courtney and I had worked on the last couple of days. But when I finished and got in the house, lo and behold, there was an email from Mommy with a photo - hurray!

Here's the top part of the photo, which is what we made (with the help of Daddy and Grandpa in bending a lot of wire).

You'll have to wait to see the rest of the costume after I take pictures at the play Courtney is going to be in with her class on the 23rd. Can you guess what she's going to be (it has nothing to do with Playboy)? We're very glad she didn't get some of the other characters... like a snail or a toad! :)

Back to the mowing... it was COLD!!! It was only 50° when I started after Courtney left, and about 45° by the time I finished around 8:00 p.m. It was also windy, plus the mower goes pretty fast so created more wind chill. Brrr!! I kept stopping to either swap out clothes or add more. Wanna know what I ended up wearing? A turtle neck, flannel-lined nylon jacket, topped by a down-filled winter jacket, knit hat and down jacket hood, jeans, snowpants, mittens, and my tall winter boots (started out with the short ones, but the cold wind still blew up my legs. I was quite comfy at the finish. (Sorry, no photos.) :)

Today I get to sew................... !

Every time I look at that picture, I think whoa... the ears weren't really that big! Must be the angle it was taken at or something.

Alice in Wonderland?

No, the tortoise and the hare?

Frog and Toad... I 'think'... if I remember right. I know one of the other characters is a toad (which I'm really glad I didn't have to make a costume for... or the snail!).

Can't wait until we can see the play. Nice job on the perky ears.
