Robin fledgling

I was mowing (so what else is new?) on Saturday evening, with just a couple of rounds left, when I came across this baby robin sitting in an evergreen tree. It seemed to be begging to be photographed. So I left the mower idling (shhh, don't tell Grandpa) because I didn't want to do anything to frighten the baby away, and I ran the 100 or so feet to the house to grab my camera. When I got back, it was still there, hadn't moved at all. Perfect!

After I took my last shot, it left. Very considerate little baby.

Nice shots! Though never thought that photography could be a way to do some exercise :P

Thank you! Of course it's great exercise... just think about how many times you've heard me say I "ran for the camera"! LOL
