Grandma's little computer gamer

Courtney LOVES to play games on Grandpa's new laptop!

She likes the MS "Purble" games that came on the laptop. What she's playing in the pic is on Starfall. She's very adept at playing those games! Anybody else know of any good online sources of games for toddlers/preschoolers?

Starfall is awsome! Way to get her going early! I think those little pets you collect have a website for games....is it webkins? You have to complete different levels to buy your pets new things.

I'll check out the PBS site soon - thanks!!

I did try the Webkinz site. You have to have a "Pet Code" (which I assume you get by buying a pet) or else 'buy' a code in order to play there. I'll have to see if Courtney has one of the pets. If not, Grandma may have to buy one for 'herself'. Ha!

My best friend in MN spends some time keeping webkins "alive" for her niece and nephews. You may want to check what is involved and if it is at her computer ability level. I am not well versed in webkins.

Thanks for the tip, Becky. I don't think she even has a Webkinz pet yet, and I'm not going to buy a code... especially if it means I have to keep pets alive for her in between her weekly visits! :) IF she gets a Webkinz, THEN we'll see. I'm glad for the forewarning!

My children both have a webkinz, and visit them very infrequently (sometimes months go by.) It would seem that webkinz pets are very self-reliant, as they are always still just fine, although they seem to want some loving. They don't starve to death, or die of loneliness.
Courtney is probably still a little young for webkinz, since reading is necessary for navigating the site. I'd hold off a while.
