Keyka Lou Pocket Clutch

I completed another sewing project... Keyka Lou's Pocket Clutch pattern. It was fast and easy. I actually started it Sunday afternoon and finished it yesterday!

After seeing these adorable little clutches on Noodlehead's blog, I thought they looked so cute and fun that I just had to make one myself.

Anna (a.k.a. Noodlehead) told me in an email that "the pattern is totally awesome, like magic". It was! It was easy to follow, yet you don't really see how it's all going to end up until you turn it right side out. Then voila!

It's little. Very little.

But it has two pockets! It's just right for a quick trip to... well... go spend some money or something. ;)

I think I may have to make some more, just for fun. Courtney loves it and is so impressed with the magnetic snap. She already has her request in for one. ;)

P.S. The fabric is not Jess's! It is a part of the Shade Garden collection, from Cicada Studio. (I bought it at half price on a closeout some time ago. Apparently it's no longer available.)

P.P.S. The button is vintage... thanks to the stash I inherited from one of my grandmothers. I like how the square in it goes so well with the fabric print.

Oooooooo! It's so cute! I love how the flap comes up from the bottom, and your button choice is so perfect.

I have to say that
(i) It IS cute! Curvy, thus even more interesting than rectangular.
(ii) my first thought was, "Eh? Not Jess's fabric?"
(iii) my second thought was, "But the print still lines up perfectly!
(iv) It is exactly what you said it was - a sweet little sewing project. Very nice!

I have several of Keyka Lou's patterns but haven't tried them yet. Yes, shocking, I know. And I have fat quarters of the entire line of Shade Garden. Also shocking...

Is this the start of your sewing season? Now that the mowing season is coming to a close? If so, I'll get to see lots of productivity and great projects!

I think the mowing season actually ended about 6 weeks ago... that's how long it's been since I mowed last! Woohoo! Hopefully only one final mowing before you-know-what gets here.

Thanks for the confidence! I HOPE you'll get to see lots of productivity. ;)
