Morning loveliness

I was delighted to finally find hibiscus blooms this morning, one of each color even! They're the first since having to cut the plants way back last winter after Josie's torturing them so much. Enjoy!

If only the flowers would last more than a day. They probably won't even last that long today, with this horrid heat. It was already 90° by 9:30 a.m., and the humidity is high. At least it's supposed to be cooler tomorrow. Yeah... 85° will feel cool after this past week.

Our crops are very much in need of rain, so would you pray-ers out there send up some extra prayers for rain for us? There's a chance of rain in the forecast for this afternoon and tonight, but not a very big one. Maybe some prayers will help bump the chances up a bit. Thanks!

Praying, crossing fingers and toes AND dancing for rain. Wonderful flowers. Stay cool.

Praying, but not too hard. Gentle, long prayers for a gentle, all day long rain. We've been through the ferocious and no-one wants that!

Thanks for your prayers, friends! At least it has cooled off some!

I'll take 20 degrees cooler any day! I could not believe the weather reports were correct. While sitting outside at Simon's last baseball game, the cool winds and cool front came through. Without a storm. It was under 80 degrees last night!

We walked through a park today playing frisbee golf. It was glorious! An elderly lady walking her dog was soooo giddy she just wanted to dance and celebrate. We saw her as we started and as we finished. EVERYONE is outside today!

Downed lines yesterday caused some serious situations around our neighborhood and 5 short power outages at our house. My kids are a bit gun shy. I am glad that no-one got hurt and no homes destroyed.

Now, if only we could get some rain to fall!

Yep, the cooler temps certainly do help! Still waiting for rain here, too. Those 5 drops this a.m. didn't count for much.
