Crafting with Courtney

I haven't taken the time to dig out any more of my vintage sewing projects yet, so I'll quickly show you what Courtney and I made on Tuesday. It's an adorable little paper-fold crafted Dumbo! Isn't he sweet?

Then of course we had to do a photo shoot.

And at that point we stopped. :)  I loved her dress, though! She gets so many cute clothes from her cousins, Jenna and Jaime!

The elephant printable came from here. I had a couple of other foldable papercraft things lined up, but after making this, I decided they could be for another day. This wasn't really the best thing for a 5-year-old. Courtney did all the cutting, and did an excellent job of it, but I had to do the rest. There's some pretty intricate folding to do, plus glueing that has to be just right. She loved Dumbo, and waited patiently while I did my part, but it took quite a while. At least I got a feel for the foldables, as this is the first one I've done. There are so many out there, and they're so cute, but they're not as simple as they look.

I love that Disney's Spoonful website! There are tons of crafts, recipes, and all kinds of fun-for-kids projects! If you subscribe to their free newsletter, you get a daily dose of ideas!

Cute dumbo. May need to print a few out for possible rainy days at the cabin.
Yes, one of my favorite dresses, too. This one came from the neighbor girl, so Courtney is at least the 4th little girl to wear it. She sure does look pretty in blue.

I want someone to come up with a caption for the last photo.

I would if I could.

Guess you didn't get any takers on that, Dale. Now you know a touch of how it feels to be a blogger that gets no responses to her posts. ;)

Thanks for your (and everybody else's) comments! I really do appreciate them!!
