Courtney's mommy has a rock garden with lots of pretty flowers. When we were there one evening last week, I took pics of some of the best that were blooming at the time.
I was pleased with how this camera managed to get the purple right on these petunias. My old camera just didn't like purple very well.
I don't know what these next two varieties are called, but they sure were bright and pretty.
The one below is one I'd never seen before, but I do remember what it's called. It's candy corn!
Not that I'm prejudiced or anything, but I do think this next flower is the prettiest one in the garden! :)
Sure requires a lot of water, though!
But hey... at least it's "self-watering"! How many other flowers will do that? :)

All those 'flowers' are gorgeous!
And is the orange one Asclepias ? Do you know that you can upload an image to Google and identify the image? That's how I found this plant name. [How? Go to Google Images. in the search box click on the small camera to the right 'search by image.' then click upload an image - and choose file. you'll get other similar images then can click on those to see link to more information. the yellow one is harder for Google Image search - too many similar flowers.]
Thanks for that info! I didn't know Google did that!
Maybe Courtney's mommy will chime in with the flower names.
Love the morning glorys. It reminds me of our farm growing up, we had an electric post by our garden every year the morning glory was half way up and in full bloom, it was amazing. It is always a fond memory since we do not have them here. As always great pictures! Mark
Thanks, Mark. There were no morning glories in my pics. :) Maybe the one type of petunias looked like them, though?
your right! my first look was morning glorys. but upon closer inspection it is a petunia and some darn good looking ones at that
And then if you'd read what I wrote instead of just looking at the pictures......
