It's Autumn!

Really... it's Autumn! Remember that little furball that was born last summer and got named Autumn? Here she is:

She's definitely tame now... she's always the first one to greet me when I go out to feed them. (Um... I think she likes kitty treats.) She winds so tightly around my feet that I have a hard time walking. :)

She's still as beautiful as ever, although her coat is very matted at the back of her neck, and I'm looking forward to warmer weather so I can cut out the knots and brush her. She really should be a housecat with all that long hair... but not in my house. Two is plenty!

She is, unfortunately, the last remaining of her litter. Mama kept taking her kids out 'wherever' and not bringing them back. Her brother, Punkin, was still here, but I'm afraid he got in the way of some machinery or something and met his demise. Very sad. But dear little Autumn, my favorite, is still here, and I hope she manages to stay alive for many years.

Just to prove to you that it's only the kitten that's "Autumn", after I took the pictures of her Saturday morning, I checked to see if there was any sign of my tulips yet. Sure enough, they were peeking out! I had to look VERY closely to even see them, but here they are!

They should make good progress this week, since the temperature is supposed to... unbelievably... be in the 50's and even mid-60's! Too good to last, I'm sure (considering that it was below zero just a few days ago), but I'll enjoy it while it's here! Spring's a-comin'!

It's a good thing I live veeeery far from Autumn, because, inevitably, I would have ended bringing her home. Good thing she probably can't cross the border haha

If you were closer, Genevieve, I'd let you have her! You don't know how hard it is to not bring her inside! :-/

She'll be even prettier, Jess, after I brush her. :)

I do know how hard it can be, especially during winter and when they are cuddly like her.

I know because, well, I've already failed to resist to an outdoor cat... TWICE.
