Outta Time Tote #2 - in Quadrant

This is my latest sewing project. It's another Outta Time Tote from the pattern by Erin Erickson. The print fabric is barkcloth and its design is called Quadrant, from Cloud9 Fabric's Time Warp collection by Jessica Jones.

I cannot take credit for the color combination. It was totally Jess's idea. A great one, it turns out, as the bag has gotten lots of positive comments in the private Facebook group I posted it in.

I can only take credit for the sewing.

The bag is fully reversible.

All photos were taken by Jess. This is me below giving you a size reference:

No, making this bag is not what kept me so busy for the last week (I actually finished it over a week ago). However, there's a huge clue in this post as to what I was busy doing. If you can guess, I'll tell you about it next week. If you can't... I'll tell you, anyway.

Now to get caught up! AND... the good news is.... I finally have in my possession The Menagerie pattern to proofread and test! I know some of you have been waiting longingly for it. It's a very big pattern - 75 pages of instructions/photos, not to mention the many pages of templates. I have a good start on it (35 pages read), but will still need to make at least one of the softies before the pattern can be released for sale. I'll do my best to get it done as quickly as possible, but I won't say it'll be ready "soon". Soon is relative... LiEr said in that blog post of March 24th that it was coming "soon", so I think I still have some time to go yet. ;) Since it's no secret, I can at least keep you posted on the progress. Then again, maybe I should just skip blogging and focus totally on the pattern. Nah... that's no fun. I have too many photos to show you from the past week!

(No, the pattern testing is not the clue.)

I love this bag so much.

And I'm very curious to see your pictures from the past week :)

It is indeed a really great color combination! And is the bag reversible? (or just as beautiful inside and out? :)

Not really sure, but is the hint related to some possible time spent with Jess... who might have been the one taking this picture of you and the bag?

Shall I show them ALL the photos, Jess? Including one I didn't take? ;)

Yes, the bag is fully reversible. I should've mentioned that and not assumed everybody would assume that. :) I'll go back and edit the post to say so when I make it back to my PC.

Very good thinkin' on the hint, Geneviève! Now you just have to figure out where... here or there? You've already seen another clue somewhere. ;)

ALL the pictures? might something funny be hiding in someone's camera? :P

humm... I think you might have hit the road recently :)

Yeah, there might've been a little surprise in it for me. ;)

You should've been a detective. ;)

I couldn't resist the challenge :)

Ha ha! Show whatever you want, Mum.

Ha! Did I really say "soon" on March 24th? I guess I meant "Within the next 5 years". Now, if I had an army of domestic elves to do my Other Work for me, it'd be another story.

But let's talk about this bag on whose workmanship you "can only take credit for" - well, it's excellent workmanship! And that pink is really nice with the gold/silver. And as I happen to know that it was NOT procrastinated on, extra pats on back! Well done!

Thank you, LiEr. And yeah... that "Other Work" is what slows down any project! :(
