Crafting with Courtney

About a month ago, Auntie Jess posted a super-cute papertoy alphabet print-and-fold project on her blog. Courtney loved it on sight, and we finally got around to giving it a try yesterday. I told her we'd do 'just one' letter, so she chose the R - "R is for Rainbow".

She once again did her excellent cutting job:

The face of concentration:

Look at all those tiny cuts she made... so expertly!

Then I did the folding and glueing, because it's just not quite doable for a 5-year-old. Sorry, no pics of my face of concentration.

Here's our little model with the finished project!

And here she is doing her photography "thing". :)

(On a side note... yep, there's another missing tooth! The first permanent tooth, on the right, has grown in quite quickly.)

And the eye got into the act again, too. I love it!

Be sure to note that it's 3-D!

It was fun to do, and it actually was a bit easier than our Dumbo.

These are the cutest pictures. I want to do these with Charlotte and Levi too. Harder to do with Charlotte now that she is in good "all day", which is really just until 2 p.m. When does Courtney start?

Very cute "R is for Rainbow"!

Believe it or not, we are STILL waiting for the first wiggly tooth around here. And he will start the 2nd grade!!!

Thanks!

Cindy, school starts for Courtney on the Thursday after
Labor Day (all day, every day). So we have 2 more "Tuesdays with Grandma" left!

Ahhh, Becky... kids are all so different! I thought C lost hers way early!

Love the craft project. So cute!

My girls are 22 months apart in age and the younger one lost 3 or 4 teeth before the older one lost her first tooth. The current count is 13 for the 3 grader and 8 for the 5th grader. Crazy, huh?

Yeah... pretty crazy, indeed! :)
