"What's for dinner, Mom?"

Josie, the little stinker, is right there whenever I open the fridge door. And if there is a spot big enough, she'll crawl immediately into it if I don't grab her! She's even worse about trying to get out the entry door and into the garage. She can be clear across the room, but if I head toward that door, she can be under my feet and out the door in a split second! She has made it past me quite a few times. She's usually waiting right inside the door when I come back, too, to try it again. I'm catching onto her tricks, but she does keep me on my toes! And I love her spirit! ;-)

Too funny! Our cats haven't tried that...yet. They are crazy in many other ways & make us laugh.

Oh my Gosh! Your fridge looks just like mine. Very full...except for the cat. Silky has not tried it yet but I better not let her see this blog page or she will add it to her list of tricks. Hey, did I count 7 open bottles of salad dressing? You and I are too much alike, no wonder our kids matched up. (:-} Having a great Fall day. Courtney helped me pull up the beets and we are going to can/freeze them today.

Yep, cats... especially kittens... are great for laughs!

You mean, Grace, that you don't let Silky see my blog? Bummer!! ;)

Yeah, way too many open dressing bottles... some should probably be tossed, too. I did check to make sure my fridge didn't look toooo bad before posting this pic. Actually, the pic flatters it, I think. ;)

If Courtney's all practiced up, maybe she can help me pull up my ONE beet! (Something ate the rest off way early.) I've been waiting for it to get big enough to serve both Grandpa and me. I'll fry it with onions. Ever tried that? The only way Grandpa likes 'em.

Never tried them with onions but sounds delicious. Will do that next time but they are all par boiled now so can't call em fresh? The beets are not in the jars yet so if you would like I'd be glad to send a few your way with Courtney's mama when she comes to get her tonight.

Thanks, but that won't be necessary. Our one beet will suffice for the year. Last year I didn't even plant any and didn't miss 'em a bit. Neither of us is overly fond of them. I used to be, but sorta lost my taste for them. Thanks, anyway!

True story, my friend had a cat and he lost it for a couple of days. about the 2rd day he kept hearing the cats muffled cries but he couldn't find it. He moved all the stuff around his freezer, pulled the freezer out to checked behind and underneath but no kitty. The next morning he heard it again so he opened the door and there the kitty was clinging to the door just like you picture. As soon as he opened the door the cat jumped out and moved very slow and stiff but made it out side and laid down in the sun. It pretty much didn't move out of the sun for 3 days. Ironically the only damage to the kitty is he lost about 1" off the tip of his tail. The funny part is that every time he opens the freezer the cat runs out of the garage. I told him the cat was Minnesota tough and had to have DNA from Minnesota cats who can survive winters out side.

Moral of the story is if you can't find your kitty check the fridge.

Oh, that poor kitty!!! But TWO DAYS?! Why did it not suffocate?

My mom lost a kitty in an upright freezer for awhile, too. I can't remember how long... maybe half an hour... couple hours at the most. She was just fine, sitting there waiting for somebody to open the door. :)

Good moral to the story!

Thanks for this pic ... it´s the same procedure with our kitten Kashka. He jumps into the fridge everytime, every day ... and I think with every new day he get´s faster :-)

Yeah, they do get faster (and sneakier) with practice, don't they! LOL
