Look what I found!

There were 3 at the time, but I don't think she was done yet. I'll keep ya posted.

Update: Sad news. As I feared, Blackie is young, and this probably being her first litter, she didn't seem to know what to do with them. She abandoned them without drying them off or anything, and with her "nest" just out in the open in the machine shed and it being so cold outside, the babies didn't last long. If you're squeamish, don't read this next sentence. This morning there was only... well... half a kitten left. I suspect a 'possum. That's nature. :-(

And no, I do not bottle feed newborn kittens.

That's very unfortunate.
I hope she will figure out what to do next time.
It's early enough yet that she may have another litter yet this spring.
Hunt that 'possum down.

Yeah, no doubt she'll have at least one more litter this year. I hope, too, that she figures it out!

The 'possum didn't kill them, BTW. They were already dead last night. But yeah, I'd like to shoot it/them, so they'd quit eating my cat food!
