And will be here soon, too:
"Blackie" just appeared here one day last fall or winter, so I have no idea how old she is. But she's a pretty small kitty, so I'm guessing this is her first batch of kittens. I just hope she knows enough to take care of them.
And I'm not 100% sure, but I think Mama Kitty has had her babies already. She wasn't very big, but the last time I saw her, she was quite slim. She hasn't shown up for the last couple of feedings, so I'm guessing she's away feeding her babies and keeping them warm. Now if I only knew where or could find them before she brings them back wild.
I'll keep ya posted!
Update: Mama was there for breakfast this morning, and I was able to check her. She definitely has kittens. Can't wait to see what colors they are! (Yeah, I'm still a kid at heart, especially when it comes to cats. :-) )

Aww maaaan. Kitty birthing would have been great for Courtney to witness. Eager to hear more about Mama and kitties!
Kitty babies, egg laying...whats next? Lets try and convince Luke he's not alergic to cats! Then I can come get a kitten!
If you figure out how to convince Luke of that, let me know how you did it. Jess's Alex is also allergic to cats, much to her sadness.
What's next? Baby bunnies? I don't know. How 'bout another fawn? Baby turkeys? A toad? We'll just have to see what appears!
You will have to practice up on your sleuthing skills to find the kittens.
You may have to engage in a stake-out or maybe a tail ( a kitty tail).
I enjoyed your nest pictures. There's lots of birds and bees stuff going on at this time of year.
Five eggs may be on the high side but would not be uncommon. My guess would be that the average would be between 4 and 5.

Maybe a cattail would be better?
Oh yes,
A cattail would be better.

Sounds like the name for a new toothpaste/yogurt product.
Woops, it's actually deritiva.
Need new bifocals, do ya?
Yogurt toothpaste doesn't sound too bad, especially if it cures gum disease.
