Vintage doll clothes, part 3

My little assistant is working hard here to get the next outfit on our baby model! Such a job to dress a squirming baby!

And here is My Baby Beth, all dressed in her vintage Christmas outfit! Do take note that the bow under the chin was tied by Courtney... all by herself!

Her outfit is made out of scraps left from Jess's Christmas outfit that year. (Too bad I didn't save that, too!) And below you can see how they looked originally. Also pictured is little brother, Nate... Courtney's daddy. Don't they look like a happy family? :)

The photo below has nothing to do with doll clothes. It does look a bit like Christmas, though. It's the view from our living room window a few minutes ago. Blech. I kept the picture small, 'cause I'm not ready for this yet. If you really want to, though, you can click on the pic to enlarge it and see the flakes coming down in all their "glory". (I'm betting Mark will do that.)

More doll clothes next week. Tomorrow will be another fun craft session with Miss C!

Fun post! My red dress is so cute. I still love it. If you made me a big version, I'd wear it.

Also: Your weather is disgusting.

Sorry... I think I actually have some scraps from it left yet, but not quite big enough. ;)

I won't argue with you about the weather! I think it's quit now, though. Hopefully it will melt FAST!!

My Mom always calls to report to me the first day it snows in MN. She called me today as she was watching big flakes falling out her window.

I clicked to enlarge to see the big flakes in their glory!
Heading to 87 degrees today, but cooling to highs in the 60's and lows in the 40's. Yipee!

That's a cool tradition, Becky... literally. Ha! ;)

Glad you're getting some relief, Gwen! I'd send you this stuff if I could. I think there's still gonna be some left tomorrow morning... it's not going very fast.

Hey, I can admire the bow tying ability. Maybe she's ready for some of my special knots.

Ooohh... Gwen! Slightly belated Happy Birthday wishes to you! Maybe cooler temps are your slightly belated gift, huh? ;) Hope you had a great day yesterday!

Hmm... Dale... might be just a bit early for your fancy knots. The bow tying ability needs a little more time to settle in first. She'll be an eager learner when the time comes, though... she's a great rememberer!

You are correct, I enlarged the picture before I read that you said I would. There is something about the first snow of the year and yes I still miss it. Mark

We're having Hurricane Sandy - my first since moving to FL - here today which is luckily just wet and windy. Those flakes of cold wet stuff are just a memory now! Drive safe!

I don't know, Annie Dee... I think I'd prefer a little white stuff over a hurricane! Trouble is, the white stuff can last for months, where hurricanes get it over and done with. ;)

First: the snow = eeeew. Okay, snow is pretty, but all the accompanying stuff (mess, cold, wettish, slippery, mushy, ugly parkas, icky roads, shoveling, sprained shoulder etc) sort of detracts from its beauteousness. We had a tiny bit of dusting yesterday, and Emily came home from school all excited about it. Well, am glad it's melted now. And, to be honest, I'll take snow over freezing rain any day.

The vintage stuff = pretty. And what fun to see vintage Jess and Nate! They sure don't make dolls and doll clothes like they used to, methinks.

And those halloween printables in your most recent post look like so much fun, especially the mummy outfit! I wish I still had our color printer instead of our no-nonsense workhorse of a BnW laser. Then I could print out printables in color too.

Off to sew boots now. Hey! I just realized I should have just emailed you instead of leaving a comment as long and as meandering as this.
