Who is it?

As I sat up from a little nap in my recliner Sunday afternoon, this is what I noticed out the living room window and beyond the deck:

A little closer:

He even has an ear:

Look like anybody you know?

Ol' Man Winter himself, looking at his handiwork. He is not very well liked right now, so he had to sneak a peak on the wave of a wind, while no one was watching. But he got caught not just by your eyeballs but by your lens. Hopefully he left before he wore out his welcome.

Ol' Man Winter... of course!! I should've known! Yes, he's gone... left in rather a hurry on Monday. He left an awful lot of remnants behind, though, and now big fluffy white thingies are drifting from the sky again, but forecast not to last long.

Did you get dumped on by the ol' man again, Becky? I'd heard your forecast.

Yes, we did. It started with rain around 8:30 last night, with the snow falling mostly through the night. Snow stopped falling around 7:00 this morning. Heavy wet snow, not sure how much, probably around 3-5 inches. It is the perfect wet and heavy snow for December and January snowmen. The lake effect snow throughout the morning/day is not happening.

Ugh. Well, hopefully it won't hang around very long. Or maybe the kids are still enjoying it....

I'd say one of our four fathers.... I'm from South Dakota. Ha!

I guess that makes us neighbors, then. :)
