Below depicts one of the perils of winter driving in Minnesota. Strangely enough, it was the view from my living room windows. Looking onto my driveway! In broad daylight. After the driveway had been blown off.
No, it is not my car... thankfully!
And I'm not quite sure how it happened, as I wasn't looking at the time (but I wish I had been!).
A stranger came to my door with an explanation. I'm still a bit confused about it all.
There are some lessons to be learned from the incident:
- Know how to get to your destination.
- Stay in the tracks.
- Wear boots and gloves.
- Bring your cell phone along when driving in winter.
Interesting, to say the least.

So, a stranger got stuck while lost in your driveway?!? Keep your doors locked! That's just weird!
Eeek! It kind of makes me think of New in Town...minus the essential red "flag" tehee
Eeek! is right. I've been on your road before. Where was the stranger going? And Mark would add: carry newspapers in your car for warmth and insulation.
That's exactly it, Becky... a stranger got stuck while lost in my driveway. :) She actually was headed to a neighbor's (of mine). I don't know if she'd ever been there before or not, but if so, she sure didn't remember how to get there.
She came to the house to use my phone, since she didn't have her cell phone along. She called the neighbor, whose husband then came and got her unstuck. Grandpa wasn't home, or he'd have helped her.
There's more to the story, but I won't put it on the internet, lest I embarrass anyone (more than I already have?). ;)
