Fog, fog, and more fog

The fog rolled in this morning and seemed to get thicker as the day went on. I think the sky was clear above it, but we didn't see it.

These pics were taken at sunrise. The circle of the sun doesn't show up as distinctly as it did in reality, though. It was quite neat.

(JHRME, I'm just trying to help you adjust to the early hours! ;-) )

Glad to see the Pictures are back on track. Let me think, sunrise or toilet rolls? Toilet rolls sounds like a really bad case of cabin fever.

with the fog was there a hoar frost? may be some more great picturs coming.

Really incredible pics here! Thanks.

Fog was so bad in one Virginia school district they didn't have school today! Now THAT is fog!!!

Mark, there are worse reasons for thinking of toilet paper than cabin fever. ;) But I suppose two posts on the subject are a bit excessive. My deepest apologies.

Yes, there was/is hoar frost. However, white-on-white doesn't make for the best photos, as the fog has continued. And last night the wind blew a lot of it off. I heard it hitting the house just outside the bedroom off and on all night. :( Today it's sleet and freezing rain. At least that should glue the snow down so it can't blow anymore.

Thanks, JHRME... and you're welcome. Anything more I can do for you?

Thanks to you, too, Becky. Wow, that's either awfully bad fog... or Virginians are wimps. ;) I don't think we've ever had school closed due to fog, although it's had to start a couple hours late because of it a few times.
