Oh my, I had no idea fawns made little "meh" sounds. I think I just died from cuteness overexposure.
Not too long ago my mom happened across a little fawn in the woods near our house. She left it alone, figuring its mother would eventually come back for it. A couple hours later we were driving up the road to go shopping and discovered the neighbors with it in their front yard. They had called animal services or some such, believing the mother deer to be dead, so they were just waiting for them to come pick Bambi up. That little fawn was so freaking affectionate, I almost want a pet deer now.
Awesome, you must have been thrilled to see this. Can't wait to hear the details.
Yep, cute grand baby too!! Grace
Wow! He (or she) is in the ditch by the driveway, it looks like?
Yep, Jess! Surprisingly close to the house for a doe to have young one(s)! Probably because she figures my garden will be a handy food supply when it/they get a little older. *sigh*
That was pretty cool
Thanks! It definitely was!
